Katie Berg (Real Estate Attorney)

Katie devotes her practice to the closing of residential and commercial real estate transactions. Katie is experienced in the closing of purchases and sales as well as refinances, including construction loans. Katie represents clients ranging from institutional lenders to one-time cash buyers. Katie often works with first-time homebuyers, first-time home sellers, experienced buyers and sellers, new investors, and experienced investors. Katie understands each client or customer has different needs and works to tailor the closing experience to meet her clients and customers where they are. She can assist with contract review, survey review, title review, title opinions, etc. Katie aims to make each person involved in the real estate transaction feel valued and important by placing an emphasis on clear, concise, and regular communication with her clients and customers.  

Katie is a Macon native. She graduated from Mount de Sales Academy in 2008. After high school, Katie attended Wofford College where she was a two sport D-1 athlete. Katie played soccer and ran indoor track for the Terriers. Katie majored in Biology and graduated from Wofford College, summa cum laude, in 2012. After college, Katie obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Katie was selected to write and edit for the Georgia Law Review.  

Katie began her legal career in 2015 working for Martin Snow, LLP at the North Macon Office where she was trained by attorney, Kenny Walker (now retired). Under Kenny, Katie learned how to abstract titles, how to spot issues when reviewing titles, how to resolve title issues and how to conduct a real estate closing. Katie attributes her love of real estate law to Kenny Walker and the team at Martin Snow.  

Katie is a member of the Middle Georgia Association of Realtors, the Junior League of Macon, Inc., the Macon North Rotary Club, the Macon Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association and the Real Estate Law Section of the Georgia Bar. Katie enjoys working out at Orange Theory Fitness. Katie is proud of the fact that she was running on the treadmill at Orange Theory the night before she delivered her beautiful baby girl. Katie can be found out and about in Macon spending time with her husband, Brad, and her daughter, Mary Anderson. Katie has too many rescue pets to list but she loves them all.
